Stone Mountain, Georgia, United States
Stone Mountain Park Campground - 6 nights.
Huge campground. Full hookups.  Nice wooded sites.
Convenient having a Water Taxie from the campground.
                                            STONE MOUNTAIN
Always love coming here. Lots to do. This time, did the following:
Laser Show each night - favorite reason for coming here.
2-day Adventure Pass:  Train ride around mountain. Looked in shops.
3-D Theater really good.
Riverboat cruise--15 minutes, not much to this. Water taxi was better ride.
Putt Putt Golf two different days

Sky lift to top of Mountain. Fabulous views. Walked down--all rocks; took about 45 min.
Daisy Craft Fair.  Couldn't believe there was a lady from AuGres, Michigan, there selling sheep wool goods.
                                                 ANTEBELLUM TRAIL

Spent a day on the self-guided tour to some of the historic towns along this trail enjoying the antebellum architecture, browsing through antique shops, and eating southern food.

Social Circle to eat at the well-known Blue Willow Inn. Excellent buffet with tradition southern dishes: fried chicken, sweet potato casserole, mac & cheese, fried green tomato, peach cobbler, chicken dumplings soup. Everything really good. Fried chicken was the BEST ever.
Madison--shops; driving tour of homes.  Rutledge--Caboose for home-made root beet floats.  Covington--Welcome Center for driving tour of homes.
                                                     ATLANTA AQUARIUM
FANTASTIC! Definitely a must see. Many species not usually seen in aquariums:
4 whale sharks, leafy sea dragons, mandarin fish.

The Varsity to eat--not great; only the homemade onion rings were worth going for.
