Brumunddal, Innlandet, NorwayPick up RV at 1:00. Taxi to Dahl, about 15 minutes away. The pickup place was at a couples' house.
He has a repair business to fix campervans. Anne, his wife, helped us. The campervan they wanted us to take was not the Challenger that we requested. The Campervan company is located in Trondheim, so Anne made several phone calls trying to get this resolved. Luckily, Randy had the email with the a picture of the RV that they confirmed to us. Dealing with the "delivery people" and not the company was definitely not a good situation. Once it got resolved, Anne was really nice and spent almost an hour showing us how to operate everything. Videotaped everything on phone--good thing since we had to look at it to get the heat to work. Rented kitchen stuff, bedding, towels, and outdoor table & 3 chairs. (Note: the bedding was not very good, sheets had pilling, pillows were so thin we bought new ones.) Ended up being here around two hours. Advice from Anne: groceries at Kiwi or Rema; real Norwegian trolls only have 4 fingers. Finally, we are on our way.
When we started driving, a beeper kept going off--never did figure out why this kept happening. Thankfully, everything turned out ok.
First stop, groceries; then to a Power Store for a toaster oven.
Even though the drive northwest began much later than planned, it was beautiful scenery on E6 along Lake Mjøsa.

TOP CAMP - 1 night. Great place at the end of Lake Botsenden.
Paved roads, nice grounds, even a sauna. Great site up on a hill. Wonderful to relax, eat pizza outside, and enjoy sunset.
The campground is on a pretty lake. Nice to see it the morning in the sunshine.
Three of us in the tight quarters of the campervan managed fine. Everyone is still talking and laughing. Excited for what's to come!
