Great views as we continued driving along Lake Mjøsa. Lillehammer is at the end of the lake. Stopped at a Bi Biltema shopping center, which is where we bought pillows and cases.

Went by Tretten Bridge in Øyer. We heard on the news about this bridge that collapsed last week. Lots of people along side of road taking pictures.
Gudbrandsdal Valley park for picnic lunch of lunchmeat, cheese, bread. Wonderful picnic spot as well as tourist information with large map and info about what to see in this area.
Dombås Troll Plaza--cute shops; bakery--ice cream & almond coconut macroon cookies (the best ever!).
Northwest on E136 through the long, narrow Romsdal Valley. Gorgeous drive with towering mountains on both sides.
The road is along the Rauma River that goes through a deep gorge forming the Slettafossen. Our first gushing waterfall--extremely powerful water plunging down the 100+ft deep canyon. Parking lot next to road. Very short walk to bridge over the river with great views of the raging waterfall. Tourist shop on other side of bridge.
Lo walked down the short path leading to the underside of the bridge that gets closer to the fast and furious water dropping as it moves through this narrow gorge. Beautiful spot to take a driving break.

Located at the north end of the famous Troll Road. Ideal location for getting an early start driving the epic Troll Road tomorrow morning.
Tourist shop & Campground Check in. Love all the troll statues. Ice cream troll statue--perfect for Ran! A must-have souvenir!
Camping area was more like a parking lot, but there were pretty mountains surrounding it. Very nice showers with attached toilet room; required tokens.
Woke early enough the next morning to watch the mountain tops glow as the sun rose.
