Geiranger, Møre og Romsdal, NorwayØRNESVINGEN VIEWPOINT, the highest point on the Ornevegan (Eagle Road)
Drove back up this crazy road early in morning before the tour buses arrived. Standing on the platform that overhangs 2,067' above the Geirangerfjord was the most magnificent panoramic view. High mountains plunging into the deep sea-filled valley below.
Watched a cruise ship as it passed the Seven Sisters Waterfall and continued through the fjord to anchor at the end where Geiranger town is located.
Cool waterfall right next to road. Fun going under it, even though we were wimps wearing rain gear.

FIJORD CRUISE: 90-min starting at 3:00. Weather wasn't perfect for taking pictures--mostly clouds, a bit of sun, windy at times. Glad to have mittens sitting outside on top deck. Audio guide told about the sights--stunning waterfalls, colossal fjord cliffs, and abandoned mountain farms.

Friaren Falls: Water gushing from the top, then splitting and fanning out as it ran down the granite. Spectacular!
- Friaren means suitor: According to legend, the seven sisters dance playfully down the mountain, while the suitor, a single waterfall opposite the seven sisters (called Friaren), flirts playfully from across the fjord. The Suitor tried to propose to the seven sisters but was continually rejected.
The height of the Fjord was spell binding with the mountains steeply rising on either side reaching straight down to the water. It was incredible.
The best views of the town's picturesque location was definitely from the cruise.
