Samburu, Kenya, Samburu, Kenya
Our itinerary had two different times listed for our flight; no internet to confirm. Thought we might be on same flight as the couple that live near here so Michael and Johnathan drove all of us to the air strip for the 10:00 flight.
Ended up we had to wait an hour for our plane. The "terminal" is a picnic table.

Along the edge of the airstrip, the Samburu people sell their crafts, which helps support their village. Johnathan translated and advised us about authentic items; bought some jewelry and a mask.

GUIDES:  MICHAEL (guide) & JOHNATHAN (Samburu warrior and spotter) are #1--"Better than the Best!!"
Michael went to school to be a guide (he's studying to get his silver certification) and positioned the truck for optimum views/photos of the animals.
Jonathan sat on top of the jeep like an Eagle always looking.

--Their knowledge of the area and ability to find the animals was amazing. Michael taught us so many things about the animals. Learning about the Samburu people from them was like taking a cultural class.
--With just the four of us on most of the game drives, we really learned about their lives and developed a great relationship. It was always so much fun because they enjoyed joking around and laughing.
-- A fantastic team, we were so lucky to meet and get to know them!!
--We will truly miss them and are so thankful for all they showed us! We sure do hate to say goodbye!
