Wonderful scenic views from Flagstaff north to Page on Hwy-98

Yea, we're finally in Page. The first view of Lake Powell and the Dam was jaw dropping!

WAHWEAP CAMPGROUND & RV PARK - 6 nights

Called the campground about a week ago and were able to get reservations for 6 nights only (Labor Day weekend booked full). Should have timed this better and arrived after Labor Day. 

Beautiful campground overlooking the stunning blue waters of Lake Powell.

Site F14 is very nice but the trees block the view. Walked around the various loops. The next morning, talked to campground rangers about moving to a site with a better view; they were so accommodating. Luckily, the people were leaving our favorite sites.

Our analysis of the campsites: After walking around B, C, F loops, the best views: C-24 for motorhome views out front window; no view on side picnic area. C-25 for side picnic area views. C-26 the best views, but right next to road.

 

New site--C24--Perfect!. 

Spent lots of time enjoying this lovely campground with our cousins eating, talking, and appreciating the views. 

Wonderful sunrises each morning out the front window. What a way to start the day!

Thunderstorms were in the area almost every afternoon; amazing skies! 

Temperatures were cool in the mornings but very hot in the afternoon.

Definitely coming back here when it's cooler; so many neat trails in this area we didn't hike.

Strombolies--pizza just ok

Slackers--great food at great prices; ate here twice

El Tapatio--good enchiladas, especially with their delicious mole sauce.
