Made reservations several days ago for the 8:30 tour.
Only the four of us; can't believe our luck!!
D better keep finding lucky pennies.
Tour begins with an off-road Hummer excursion over difficult terrain. Phillip, fantastic guide who grew up in this area, had great information about the plants, canyon, and surrounding area during the short hike to the canyon entrance. Even a mountain lion paw print in the sand trail.
This is a beautiful slot canyon with superb color created from the millions of years of erosion in the soft sandstone walls, some over 60 feet high. The light beam made this experience extra special. Phillip was helpful with camera settings for better pictures.

The thrilling Hummer ride back was "icing on the cake"--sand hill climbs, rock crawls, and other off-road obstacles guaranteed to excite!
Vance, owner, and Phillip are interesting people; enjoyed chatting with them both before and after the tour. Great pictures around the store; Vance's bike ones are unimaginable.
Highly recommend this tour. So glad we did both Antelope Canyon and this one, which was actually much more enjoyable even though it is not quite as beautiful. The brochure was right; we were "truly able to experience and appreciate the canyon in its peaceful, natural setting without the crowds."
