Good location to see Cedar Breaks State Park

Drive to Cedar Breaks State Park:
Fish Lake Road paved at first; then turns to dirt; lots of beautiful homes
Mammoth Springs Road dirt, narrow, rocky in places; climbs higher.
Gorgeous scenery in Dixie Mountains.
Patchwork Scenic Drive (Hwy 143--yea, paved road) to top of mountain; fantastic color.

                                                CEDAR BREAKS STATE PARK
Called "Circle of Painted Cliffs" by Native Americans.
"Plunging 2,000 feet into the Markagunt Plateau is a scenic bowl with colorful limestone spires, columns, pinnacles, arches, and canyons of red, yellow and purple."
Chessmen Ridge Overlook -- Late afternoon not the best time for pictures (morning would be much better). This is like a very miniature Bryce Canyon; a little underwhelming after just visiting Bryce.
Continued Patchwork Scenic Drive to Panguitch
Panguitch means "big fish" in Paiute.
Wild turkeys crossing road and mule deer.
Panguitch Lake very pretty.
Sunset lighting up the mountains on drive back to Hatch.
