KAIBAB CAMPER VILLAGE RV PARK - 2 nights
Only able to stay here for 2 nights since they are closing for the season.
Gravel/dirt; road going in about quarter mile engulfed with dust from other cars.
Right in the Kaibab Forest among the Pine trees with kaibab squirrels right in park--love this!

First order of business, search for "Silver Ghost of the North Rim"
Saw a tv program with Kaibab Squirrel; sure hope to see one.
About five minutes after being in the campground, two were right across the road from us. How great, no searching involved! So cute with pointed tufts at the tops of their ears and beautiful white bushy tails, which really show up in the sunlight. Getting a picture is another story; they are constantly moving.

INFO: The Kaibab squirrel lives only in ponderosa pine forests on the North Rim.
The south rim has the Abert's squirrel, a subspecies of tassel-eared squirrels.
