What should we do on another day of rain?
Bondi & Coastal Walk
Circular Quay, bus #380 to Coogee Beach to start the Coastal Walk.
Nice paved path in most places. Several surfers at Coogee Beach.
Bali Memorial for bombings in 2002.
Interesting to see how they pull the boats up along the cliff at Gordon's Bay.
Detour though Waverly Cemetery since Cliffside walk is being repaired.
Ducked into a train station when it started pouring. Talked with a couple from England that had just walked from Bondi, which is still several miles away. After already walking for about two hours up and down the cliffside, changed our plan and walked a short way to Bronte to catch a bus the rest of the way to Bondi.

Bondi Beach: Bus Bronte to Bondi Junction; then another bus #380.
ATE: RSC (Returned Serviceman's Club). Excellent location at north end of beach on porch in corner table with perfect view of entire beach. Baramundi grilled over mashed potatoes/fish gravy and spinach. Fish ok; rest very yummy. Dessert--Banoffi Pie (banana and chocolate in tart crust with soft caramel square on top. Great!

Bus #333 back to Quay; talked with two ladies from here going to Oxford Street for Mardi Gras celebrations. it's late afternoon and the streets are packed with people to see the parade.
ATE: "The Ship Inn" at Circular Quay (where all the hotel hospitality people go); very good pizza. Walked along wharf.
Lots of people in hotel lobby to see famous Australian pianist David Helfgott perform (sold out show). There was a movie about his life called "The Shine."
He is staying next door to us and we met him yesterday. So friendly, hugs and kisses, like he was so happy to meet us. Now we'll have to watch the movie when we get home.
