DARWIN to KAKADU NATIONAL PARK
Rented a car from Hertz--4WD diesel. Left Darwin 2:30 for the three-hour drive along the Arnahem Hwy.
Not doing much sightseeing on the way since we want to get there before dark. Grabbed a quick bite at McDonald's; the burger didn't taste good at all. Grocery store for breakfast/lunch food since there may not be many restaurants where we're heading.

Windows on Water Visitor Center -- good views across the wetlands even though it's a very cloudy day.

Lois stuffed up (seems to happen after plane rides)--Benadryl and early to bed.
What a change having to do everything ourselves after being on the cruise ship for 35 days. We are going through "pampered withdrawal."
