It's Monday after the long weekend and today everyone went home, so when we came to Alice Lake… there was no one there and yesterday all was full.
So we set up camp – walk in the rain around Alice Lake – I’m sure it’s a nice lake in the sun… with the sandy beach…
So the rain tells us: it is time to move on….. Drive towards sunshine

Continuing on towards Whistler – we found a viewpoint with amazing views on the snow covered mountains of the Coast Mountains. The only downside were the clouds…

Brandywine falls PP Brandywine Falls PP
We love waterfalls, so it was never a question that we stop at every waterfall we come across. After a short walk we came to this amazing waterfall: 70 m free falling into a rock surrounded bowl. It is truly amazing.

And who named this fall?
  • Sometimes it is interesting to know, why and who named something here in BC
  • They say the 2 surveyors of the Howe Sound and Northern railway made a wager for a bottle of brandy about who could estimate more accurately the height of the falls
Since we came across some railroad tracks, we had to explore a little and found a little side trip to the other side of the falls standing on top of those rock walls
With a view on a lake – which today looked very grey we continued on to the

And since this is close by we went to the Cal Cheek suspension bridge… one of the most special things is, that the water here has the green bluey color like there are some deposits in it… it was really cool looking…
