Little Qualicum Fall PP - arriving at the campsiteCamping season starts
We decided to come here: because we love the waterfalls here… and early in the season you can always get a nice sunny spot – not a lot of people… and so we are here on over favourite campsite with the most sunshine… sure it is also the site which is the closest to the falls… so after setting up the campsite we go and

Little Qualicum Fall PP Checking out the falls
With being here early in the season it had quite a bit of water which was really awesome. And then every time we are here we check out the logs hanging over the gorge… this year one was still in the water, big question was it here last time?

Little Qualicum Fall PP - Along the river Camping is relaxing
And after all that walking, it is time to relax and the best spot is near the river, so we brought our chairs and went down to the bend in the river…
Little Qualicum Fall PP - following the train trac A Walk to Cameron Lake on the train tracks Little Qualicum Fall PP - Cameron Lake
Paul always wanted to check out the train tracks and so we decided to walk today to the Cameron lake on the train tracks: and we also discovered some real neat little flowers along here, at least Gine thought they are amazing, because they are not German… we encountered some wildlife like deer’s and garter snakes… we crossed some bridges… and when we thought we will never arrive we did. So it was longer than we thought.
The only ones here we enjoyed the view and checked out the gnarly trees here and then after a nice sunny lake break we are on the way back.

Little Qualicum Fall PP - a bear!! A bear is watching us
And then it got really cool: we saw a bear in front of us on the train tracks – that stopped us right away. After the bear went sidewise in the shrubs we continued walking, but I do have to say I got super loud and talking, making noise and hoping the bear is not right there on the side and attacks us, I mean yes I want to see a bear – but not on food and not if I don’t know where he hides. And then it got so hot, that Paul had to take off his shirt – really!!

Little Qualicum Fall PP - last sunrays The evening at the falls
And then this evening we walked again to the falls to see it in the evening sunlight… so you can see a little bit sparkling light on the river

Little Qualicum Fall PP - Good bye breakfast The Last breakfast
And that means it is time to leave… even the sun is shining and we would like to stay on…
But we will come back.
