Slow, hot day

La Peñita de Jaltomba, Nayarit, Mexico

During the night, there were some real loud thunderclaps but we only got a little rain (somebody else must have got hit pretty hard).

Martin came by headed out to the bike trail (still working on clearing it). Roberto headed out for his home. I tried the internet, but now it’s completely down. It’s 8:30 and already getting warm. I guess this will be another day of sitting in front of the fan and reading. One more week and then I’m moving on. I’ll be in Puerto Vallarta in about two weeks.

10:00 am Just spent a couple hours planning my route. Still looks like I’ll be in Guatemala by Christmas.

Read on my porch for a while; then had lunch out there. It’s in the upper 80s, with humidity in the upper 70s: keeps the heat index near 100. But there’s a nice breeze, and, if you don’t move around too much, it’s pretty comfortable.

Finished my book and thought of taking a break from reading by watching a movie. Did that. Now I’m wanting to do something to get off my butt. As soon as you get out in the sun, you start sweating; so I don’t want to go out. I set out on this adventure to find comfort, not to sweat my butt off. So it’s back to sitting in front of the fan and reading (while sipping on an endless rum and coke of course.)

No sunset again tonight: overcast, but not as dark as it was last night, so maybe no rain here.
Watched another movie. Read a little. Then bed.
