After the storm

Bucerías, Nayarit, Mexico

Heavy rain a couple of times after midnight, but all rain stopped by 3am.
Roads are practically dry this morning.

Dark clouds inland, but starting to see some blue sky over the ocean.

Spent the last couple hours trying to get video on the storm (tv has 5 stations - 1 news) and couldn't find much: a few uprooted small trees. The one I saw in Ft Lauderdale in 1979(?) seemed worse: boats on top of docks or blown inland, lots of palm trees nocked down; I personally saw a whole row of palm trees bent in half and one 9 in dia tree bent over 'til the roots popped up. From the reports, Manzanillo should be worse; I just can't find video (maybe the trees are stronger here). But definitely lots of rain, flooding and mudslides.

Just checked with Martin in La Peñita: not that much rain up there so the river didn't get flooded again.
