Bahia de Banderas - North

Bucerías, Nayarit, Mexico

Lots of clouds: leftovers from the storm.

Bucerias streets on the way down to the beach: zigzagged northwest 'til I hit the beach.

Decided to go north up the beach.

Walked 'til I couldn't go any farther: all rocks; too wet and steep.

Went towards the road, going through a real nice, expansive hotel (Punta Esmeralda). I was near the turnoff for Punta de Mita (had thought of visiting there anyway), so I walked to where I could catch a bus ($0.60 to go 9 mi).

Punta de Mita is a lot smaller than I thought: there's not much behind the hotels near the beach, and not much to do.

Along that 9mi stretch, there are a couple of resorts and a couple of villages; nothing worth stopping for.

Just before the turn to Vallarta, there's a town called Crux de Huanacaxtle. That one would be worth staying in: it's large enough for stores and restaurants, has nice housing areas, and some nice resorts, and only about 30 min from PV (has everything you want).

That's it. Went to the hotel. Worked on blogs. Read.

Nice sunset.

Watched a movie.

Went to sleep.
