San Pedro La Laguna, Sololá, Guatemala
Wed - Started out again fighting with the wifi. It comes and goes; when it goes, you lose some of your work; then you have to keep checking to see if it's back up. Lots of reading done in between. Sometimes I head out for a stroll, just to get off my butt for a while.

Had french toast for brunch, $5 .20 with fruit, coffee, juice and tip.

Went for a walk, mainly to get a haircut. Found two people who charge salon prices. Only paid $3 in Mexico and Panama, so I'm still looking.

Took a nap, read. Tried the filet mignon at the hostel: NOT filet mignon. Joined three girls as they ate pizza. Had wine and rum/cokes. Went to bed.

Thu - Went out to find a barber. This is a small town: several salons, no barber. Got lunch at Sublime: BLT ($3.40), 2 beers ($5.50), 2 rum/cokes ($2.70). Got a haircut, $6.80.

Back to Mikaso, chatted and read.

Slider night at The Wild Rover: 5 different ones at $1.35 each. Got 1 cheese, 1 avocado and 2 glasses of wine ($3.40ea).

Fri - Took a walk to the top of the town, where the road that connects all the towns around the lake goes thru. Little bit of a hike, about a couple hours.

Got back, had a smoothie. Talked with a new roomie, got invited to hike the mountain next day.

Had salad and wine for dinner. Off to bed early.
