Ducks all in a row

Quetzaltenango, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala
Stayed in bed until 9am, just keeping warm. No wifi, so I just read and played solitaire on my laptop.

Went in search of new lodgings again. Score!! Found exactly what I was looking for: private room with bath, closet with hangers, drawers, desk; large room with plenty of light. $61/wk, plus an extra $40 for Holy Week, the busiest week of the year in Latin America (lucky just to get a room). This a hostel with three private rooms and two dorms; and two doors down is a sister hostel which is a little larger, and to which I have access (more people to meet/party with).

Went for lunch: ordered enchiladas, got tostadas and didn't like them; so I went to McD.

Relaxed for a couple hours. Then went to the Spanish school I'd hoped to take classes at. Scored there too: start Mon at 2pm. $8/hr: a little pricey for around here, but I'm only taking 15 hrs/wk, not a full load (25 hrs/wk), and it's the second best school in town.

Read until dinnertime. Got a humongous calzone ($12) and a beer; saving half for tomorrow.

Movie time. Then sleep.
