Frustration

Quetzaltenango, Quetzaltenango, Guatemala

Second day of school, not as good as the first. Being taught to conjugate verbs (what I didn't want to do), the most important ones for travel, so I don't sound like a complete idiot. Also learning words that are very much alike in meaning, but used in totally different contexts. Really confusing and difficult.

Went shopping for junk food on my way back. Think I'm set for a week. Had chips and cheese sauce for lunch.

At 4pm there was a cooking class: learned about making corn tortillas, including the history. Then we got to eat them, with refried beans, onions and guacamole (also from scratch) on top.

Then there was a salsa class. Interesting, but I didn't feel up to it. I think most of the students (7) had already had lessons. I left after a little while. Should I find someone who wants me to dance with her, she'll have to teach me first; much more easily done one on one.

Picked up some type of chicken nuggets ($6.10, and tasty) with fries, washed down with Coke.

Settling in for the night, watching tv series. May read a little after settling in bed.
