Sanur -Gili Meno, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia
Today after we had a sleep for 3hrs surprisingly we did wake up refreshed. Another shower to wake up repack a coffee and then down 3 floors we head to wait for our pick up.

No one at reception so we wait with the porter for our pick up . Then just as the pickup comes so does the receptionist asking for tourist taxes to be paid. The while I jump on the waiting bus full of people John has to haggle about a mineral water that we didn't have but they kept insisting we had. He had to walk away with the insistence we hadn't had it and made it 15 minutes later to the very patient waiting people.

A not too long a ride to another reception spot where we get our lanyard to prove we had paid for our tickets breaky sandwiches could be bought to eat there or on the way we thought.
Then off we set with around 70-90 people to cram onto a fast boat to get us to the Gili Islands. I couldn't see out the window at all only the huge seat in front of me, and stupidly i kept my pull along yellow cabin bag with us mistake No 1 as there was even less room than the Jetstar flight, all crammed in tightly and sweatly... Once we hit the open ocean my glory it was rough and pounding as the driver hit every wave full on.
Then when we thought ok we can cope with this the fumes from the motor came floating through making those who hadn't vomited do the chuck very quickly . So petrol and vomit fumes yumo just what you love!!!!!

We did survive after 2.30hrs of torcher to get off and yep once again our pick up for the next section wasn't there. So one of the guys off the big boat helped us find a smaller boat. He asked if we wanted a fast boat or a slow boat I took the slow boat not so rough.
So with our huge suitcases we wade out in the water to boat. I will admit I didn't have to carry mine a bloke did but I still had my smaller one.

Then for the choppy but much slower and safer ride we get to Gili Meno only to discover yep we had to wade through deeper water and our suitcases were lifted high on the heads of some guy who just helped out on the shore. Not sure where to go feeling a bit wet but not totally we head with a wheeled suitcases through the sand to the reception of Karma Reef.

A cool towel and a refreshing drink and yep welcome to the Asian humidity but we did know it would be humid just like labour you forget just how humid it really does get.

Taken to our glam tent and wow it really is lovely with aircon going very spacious a lovely patio area to relax in and a fantastic shower flushing loo and large screen TV what more other than a pool which they don't have do you want . Welcome to Gili Meno.
Staff are very happy and helpful. So far so good.

We had a wander up from us in the afternoon, then headed to the main reception to listen to the DJ and have some drinks for Happy hour.
We stayed on for dinner which turned into a night of being very busy and a live band playing, not doing too bad a job of the old songs every one could relate to instead of the duff duff music of the DJ which nearly blew us away... (Yes we are getting old, but the DJ music wasn't even worth listening too and she kept playing the same stuff over and over)

Half way through the night a women in her 50's come and sat next to John and even though she saw we were together she had great delight in chatting and having meaningful conversations with him. I told him he hasn't lost it whatever it..... was ha ha..... She made his night although he did say he was getting a bit edgy, ha ha made me laugh watching her in action. She was a Pom high on life of high on something as she was so full on it was unreal.... Still made our night interesting and memorable!
