Today started like all others up earlish.... reading them breaky.
Went for the English muffins instead of toast only having one with the salmon and capers
. Worked well no dumping...
We had Eddie come and introduce himself to us..., still trying to work out who Eddie is other then a Balinese Ken Doll look alike!!!!
A true salesman in nature vibrant bubbly and makes you think your important they are good at that the Karma Salesmen....
Anyway Eddie wanted feedback on how was our stay going.... so we let him have it with out dramas of getting here no transfers as we had paid for.... plus the no transfers on Gili Trawangan as organized.... so Eddie said he would fix our transfers to the airport not to worry he had it all in hand....
Then he asked would we do another interview for Karma Moments here at the resort.... why not we said it's not a bother to us and that's true....
So tomorrow we are to be interviewed to talk on video for a Karma Moments experience....
see if it comes off I guess....
From there we headed to our driver Whyrang.... To take us on our furniture factory at Mas where we are staying....
He was very obliging waited for us to wander amongst the furniture places looking for white plastic Rattan Furniture
. Found heaps of wood factories... they use every part of the wood here nothing is wasted to make interesting pieces...
Amazing glass bowls blown to drape over odd pieces of wood..... so want one of these but as the wood is unsealed there is no way it would get through customs in Oz.....
Wonderful carved doors yep want one of these too... not greedy at all just want it all. But in all truth how much stuff can we really horde and I am worlds No1 horder.....
After our wandering along this street John had had enough, I could have done the whole street wandering by myself so much to see so clever in their wood art here.....
From here our ever patient driver took us to a coffee plantation. On arrival we are greeted with a very attentive employee willing to do our biding... nice bloke who kept apologizing for his bad English it wasn't the best but we have had worse
...
he took us on a tour of coffee plants then to a lovely quiet area to taste coffees and teas, plus yep the catch you had to buy coffee.... Joh had a very dear $10 cappacinno, me a black filter coffee.... after tasting around 8 different teas and coffees you drink your dear coffees then taken to the obligatory shop to buy their wares.... yes I bought Mangosteen Tea and Lemongrass Tea.... No coffee.... I will admit they had some very different types of Tea and coffee on offer....
Next the driver takes us to a local waterfall.... the whole time we are heading down the hill to this waterfall we kept thinking we had been here... it had all the usual tourist trap shops as you descend, but once the waterfall is in view we realize nope not been here before.... unreal the sheer amount of water coming over the falls just amazing to hear the pound of the water falling the amount of water coming over was impressive for sure.... but the humidity here was unreal.... on the way down copped sight of a local having his morning shower under a bit of water coming out of some bamboo, no worries he was in the all together it didn't worry him at all...
we made our way to the the foreshore of the water infront of the falls tourists ++++, I hope no one went under the water fall cause I doubt they would surface again too much force coming over the drop from above. The sheer spray from the water was enough to wet everyone.
Then off we set back up the mountain by the time we finished the climb which was on very steep steps we were told was only 150... I needed O2 and was drenched in sweat yuk yuk.....
Made it back to our driver dodging all the stall owners as we heard back, straight back to the resort go for a much needed swim.
We started out by the pool but scattered showers eventually chased us away to our room for some R&R after a big morning of not buying.... John did well he was the guard on duty.... good thing it wasn't with Kerry my sister in law or we would have succumbed....
It rained for most of the arvo so unable to do anything really but read.
Late dinner tried normal food tonight chicken and veggies shared with John... ok
So as this holiday is on the wind down thoughts for our future are starting to bubble up... Guess we face that once home.... For now enjoy the peace of where we are in Bali....
