Thur, Oct 5 – Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala - is located on Guatemala's Pacific coast a little bit closer to El Salvador than to Mexico. As with most Central American countries, the population of Guatemala centers in the highlands than in the coastal regions due to the often humid and tropical climate there.  Guatemala City, the capitol of the country, is about 70 miles or 90 minutes of driving away.

We had planned on going into La Antigua with some friends on the ship.  However, I am really sic have been in isolation for the past 48 hours and am going pretty much no where until sometime tomorrow hopefully.

My sweetheart could easily have left me and gone into town with the others, but instead has stayed with me and is taking care of this sickie.
