Home sweet home

We had a good trip home. No snow - dry (or rainy) pavement the whole trip. Quite different than the last time we came back from the States in March pulling our trailer.

Day 1 was Vegas to Brigham City, Utah . Good roads and beautiful mountain scenery. We were lucky to stumble across the movie "Max" in our hotel room, about a war-trained German Shepherd whose handler is killed in duty.

Day 2 was Brigham City to Billings, Montana. The night before we went thru two time changes - time zone and daylight saving time. I wasn't sure how my phone would handle it, so we used both my phone alarm and the hotel radio alarm. My phone woke us up an hour early, and Roger set the hotel alarm but forgot to turn it on. Losers! We got away early anyway, then we lost half an hour because I forgot my pillow at the hotel and we had to go back. Time to go home. :-P

Besides reading, one of the things I did to keep busy while Roger was driving was doing drive-by shootings of the passing scenery with my cell phone. The attached pictures show the changing landscapes as we drove from Nevada, thru a small corner of Arizona, Utah, Idaho and Montana (seemed like forever) to Saskatchewan.

We are home safely. It was so good to hug Ryan and Brie and to sleep in our own bed. We will visit Roger's mom tomorrow and meet her new rescue cat Buddy. :)

Thanks for following our travels. :D
