We've been winding our way back west through the New England states. Enjoying being back in Englais country where we can read the signs and the menus! Loving the scenery. Very treed but still predominantly green. We've seen some beautiful wooded campgrounds - would love to come back here to camp and explore the numerous flea markets. ;-)
From Grand Falls, NB, we drove thru Maine and New Hampshire to our motel at Littleton, NH, just before the Vermont border
. Loved Littleton - very picturesque little town. We saw some beautiful old New England mansions/estates in New Hampshire. Some old money around there.
Friday took us thru Vermont to Watertown, New York. It rained for most of the drive, but still some lovely scenery. In the ongoing issues of my head being injury prone ... I bent over and whacked my forehead on a protruding metal shoe shelf in an UnderArmor outlet store in Lake George, NY. I was hoping to find another pair of runners like the ones I bought in Vegas this winter. No luck, but I did pick up a lovely bump on my forehead. Argh.
Saturday was a beautiful, sunny day to pass back into our home and native land. We crossed over at the Thousands Islands crossing. Love the area - gorgeous rocky, treed islands interspersed on the lake. Amazing cottages, boats, paddleboarders. Very serene. Mmmm.
We're going to meander our way back thru Ontario now. Expecting to hit Regina late in the day Thursday, September 29.
