Gringos in Paradise

Los Cabos, Baja California, Mexico
We woke up this morning at 6 am to the sound of someone banging rocks together on our balcony. It turned out to be a little bird with a really noisy beak. Little bugger! Well, the sun is already rising at this time, so going back to sleep is not that easy. We managed to stay in bed until 9, then got up and had breakfast on the balcony.  Not windy today at all, which meant lots of parasailers out.

We burned on the balcony for awhile, me reading Oprah and Roger staring out to sea. Then I stumbled across a book in the condo called Gringos in Paradise, about a couple who retires to a small town north of Puerto Vallarta (Sayulita, the town next to San Pancho, which is where Brie & I went to for a holiday at the end of April a few years ago). I challenged him to read the introduction and the back cover, then 2 or 3 pgs a day. To my surprise, he's already on chapter 6! Roger doesn't read books, so this is amazing! He said he's hooked because it talks about San Pancho.

For supper, we had the burritos we bought at Costco, and a tomato salad.  Because it's pitch black out by 6 and it's starting to cool off, it was beautiful eating on the balcony with just candlelight and the views of Cabo San Lucas and the cruise ship all lit up in the distance.
