We now have less than a week left here. I'm finding that I'm waking up earlier, sometimes as early as 6 am (the horror!). I get up and go to the bathroom (sigh ... old age), and since day is just beginning to break, I have trouble getting back to sleep with the bright sunny day outside. I have a bandana that I've taken to wearing it over my eyes when I go back to bed after going to the bathroom. Roger has affectionately started calling me "Tonto". Gotta love him.

Since we were up early, we decided to go for a long walk this morning before the worst heat of the day. It was 79 degrees when we left the condo. We walked thru Cabo Bello, then over to Santa Carmela market (Roger is restricting himself to plastic glasses, but was out of coconut rum, so we had to do a booze run.) We came back beside the RV Park that runs along the back of Cabo Bello to the Welk Resort, then down to the private beach, then back up to the staircase to the condo. We were gone 1.5 hrs and were cooked, so it was into the pool for a bit. By the pool, we saw a banana tree with a bunch of bananas and a second pod. Neat. Reminded me of the banana tree Brie and I used to pick from outside our casita when we were in San Pancho, MX. :)

Each unit in our condo building, which is named Mision de San Ignacio, has a beautiful stained glass window. They are about 2.5 ft wide, and 3.5 ft high. I don't know where these windows are in the other units but, in ours, it's in the shower. Our shower is a walk-in (no tub) ceramic tile shower bordered by glass blocks, and it is wide open to the rest of the bathroom (no shower door or curtain). The stained glass window would be a beautiful touch, with the sunlight streaming in as you shower. There's just one little problem. The scene depicted in our window (they're all different) is of a priest (San Ignacio, I presume) kneeling at the cross. I have to say I'm less than comfortable getting naked beside a saint kneeling at the cross. Jeesh. :(
