Today we travelled from Galveston to San Antonio ... about 4.5 hours. About halfway, we hit a lot of driving rain, to the extent that we couldn't see the car in front of us at times. The rain lasted all the way to San Antonio, although it eased up about ½ hour out. We got to the condo in San Antonio where Gil & Lois are staying late in the afternoon. The condo is beautiful. It has two bedrooms, each with their own en suite bathrooms, as well as a third bathroom, and a very nice kitchen and dining room. There is also a pool (I hope the weather is warm enough to go there!). They have sorted out their TV & phone communications problems (it turned out the condo management company hadn’t paid their bill to the service provider!). There is no internet access in the unit – you have to go to the office to access the wireless. I am happy to report that, although it is raining outside, it is nice and warm in the condo! Yay! (Did I mention that I had to buy big fuzzy slippers when we were in Galveston??)

We had lots of stories to exchange about our experiences in the couple of weeks we were away from each other . We had some good laughs about the problems we’ve had with our rentals, and the adventures we’ve had. Lois made a yummy supper, and was excited to inform that tomorrow is our turn to cook! LOL.   We took turns when we were at SPI, and Gil and Roger were the clean-up crew, so that will come back into effect. ;o) We had brought along a King Cake with us from New Orleans, so we shared that for dessert.
