Getting the hang of it

Hanoi, Ha Nội, Vietnam
Like every adventure in these parts there are ups and downs. Day one is always going to be total culture shock. Day two one hopes to be getting the hang of things, our challenge was finding a recommended restaurant that serves a true Hanoi dish. I volunteered to navigate and failed miserably, Dave took over and failed as miserably, I am sure we walked around in never ending circles for some time...up Hang Ong, down Hang Bun, over to Hang Dong Dung and back again. (Bruce would like this place, a lot of hangs happening).
We did succeed and had a great meal, at a café called Cha Ca Thang Long which served only one dish of pan fried fish with turmeric and dill, noodles, spring onions, chilli etc etc, all cooked by us on the table . For $6 each, or 240000 dong.
By some miracle we found our way home.
Day three we conquered the cyclo etiquette and bargained hard to pay a fair price, we explored the history museum and had a couple of beers stops to get us home on foot.
This evening we are off to meet the other five biker buddies and have dinner with them and our guide.
