Another good ride today,as hard as one tries to fathom out the road signs and distances to go...the Thang Bong 25 klms followed by Kong Thang 10 klms, then Bing Bang 85 klms....impossible to make sense of it so we just keep pedalling. 
Beef soup and beer for lunch, one of our favourite dishes, a steaming bowl of clear broth, with noodles and thin slithers of beef, then we add garlic, chilli, sprouts, Vietnamese mint, fish sauce, soy sauce and a squeeze of lime . Delicious and refreshing even when the perspiration is still dripping down your brow. Finish it off with a coconut or mung bean ice cream and we are ready for anything.
Flora is reds, purples, blues, whites.....bougainvillea, oleanders, frangipani, lotus flowers and water lilies. They look even more lovely than usual as they are usually growing over some broken down old concrete hut or a pile of rubbish. The rubbish is a little concerning but weirdly there are not many flies. Even around the raw meat and fish, surprisingly few bugs.
We quite enjoy our bus time, Long tells us wonderful stories and answers all our questions, sometimes the gin comes out, and now and again we get stopped by the very corrupt police. Either pay 500,000 dong now or pay one million later but you must come back here to pay it? The money is crazy, if they dropped a bunch of zeroes it would be so much easier, thankfully David is looking after the cash. It can be so easy to pay 200,000 instead of 20,000, but I am 99 %sure they would chase after you if you made the mistake. But the upside of the currency means we are all multi millionaires right now. 
We are arriving in Nha Trang, a popular destination for tourists and the Russians come here in droves apparently. We are right beside the south china sea, the fishing farms and fishing boats are dotted everywhere. We have two nights here so some sleep in and a little more rest in store. 
We are nearly feeling intrepid now !
