Everything is ready

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Everything is booked. We've got return tickets from Sydney to LA, New York, San Francisco and home. We've got a room at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in LA, the Broadway Millennium Hotel in New York and the Westin in San Francisco. We've got seats for Hairspray, Chicago, In The Heights, Young Frankenstein and Wicked. So I think, aside from packing, we're ready.

I've no idea what the highlights of this holiday will be, perhaps the Pride Parade in Manhattan that passes a block and a half from our hotel (we didn't know it was on when we booked), perhaps it will be the 4th of July celebrations in Central Park. I think, just secretly between you and me, the highlight will be having my first holiday with Steven.

We have a few other things planned - a tour of what's left of the Universal Studio, shopping in Rodeo Drive, walking across the Golden Gate and Brooklyn bridges, a day trip to Washington and we're going to see if we can get in the audience for Oprah. I also have a feeling that I'm going to be "Discovered" as the-next-big-thing while walking through Times Square (lets's hope it's not just as understudy to the role of the mother in Hairspray).

As I've been writing we've been packing and now we're really ready, there's nothing else to do but get out of here. Oh hang on, the flight's not for another 10 hours. I guess we can chill.
