Surfs Up

Raglan, North Island, New Zealand
No road trip today and after a night of torrential rain the sun started to shine. But first things first as the kitchen facilities were so limited in our accommodation it was off for a good NZ brunch. We duly surveyed all the establishments in downtown Raglan and settled on the Blacksand café where I had the healthier option, avocado, smoked salmon and poached egg – delicious, and guess who had the full english!
A lazy day surveying the surf beaches but too windy until the end of the day to sit on the beach . Before brunch we had a walk around the Wharf where we had a chat with a friendly NZ farmer who was eating fish and chips at 9am, as you do! We duly returned to Raglan Fish at the Wharf for our own helping of excellent fish and chips in the evening. Don't think today's diet has helped Graham's stomach proportions at all.

Well I'm glad to hear that Graham is choosing the less healthy option as this presents a balanced report to us folks back at home. Especially those of us who would probably lean towards Graham's preferences! Weather sounds a bit unpredictable? It;s frosty, sunny and cold here. But how's the wine though? xx
