Model railway heaven for Graham

Martinborough, North Island, New Zealand
Well we’ve done boats and planes so today was trains. Some of you may recall (or most likely you won't) that we saw a model railway in Kapiti last year but it only ran on Sunday's. Well today being Sunday we revisited said railway after a great breakfast. Both Sammy and Graham needed feeding before taking the train and especially after navigating Pak & Save to get barbie food for tonight. Amazingly ‘grown ups’ were allowed on the model railway and for $1.50 each we had a lovely 10 minute ride around the park being waved at by all the little kids.
We then collected Duncan from the station and headed off over the Rimutaka mountain ranged to Martinborough for a few days .
Located our digs and Duncan and Sammy cycled off to obtain some local wine. Barbie turned into a fishfest cooked by Sammy – green lip mussels in garlic, roasted kumara (NZ sweet potato) and salads, delicious. Duncan was then subjected to the family card games! Hope he’s still here in the morning.
