Woke up to the fabulous view which was hard to drag ourselves away from but seafront and breakfast was calling. Steep descent (but only a few steps and a 1 in 2 road) down to the front where we had a great breakfast at the Boatshed overlooking the sea. Then back up the 1 in 2 to be collected by Tim and Catherine. 
We then headed into Nelson to Founders Park for the Whaitangi weekend celebration (treaty signing with the Maori) . Great to see them both again since a year ago, so a few beers were needed to celebrate. Tim took us to a great bar in a converted church and subjected me to some excellent local wines. Then it was off for a delicious fish dinner with more wines chosen by our aficionado Tim. 
Will probably be a slow day tomorrow (not for Catherine who very kindly drove).
