Art Deco Napier

Napier, New Zealand
Could have been in England today, sun, rain and wind but thank goodness warmer. Back down into Napier to look at the Art Deco buildings and all the cars starting to arrive for the Art Deco weekend. Lots of people already dressing in 30s costumes. A shame we are leaving tomorrow but we would not have been able to get accommodation this late in the day.
Steep downhill walk to Ahiriri beach for ice cream and reading on the beach . Funny the beach was deserted apart from us hardy Brits and we only had to run for cover once before bracing the uphill walk home.
Refreshing shower although not sure my back will ever recover as Kiwi showers are all designed for 5'2" midgets. Off for a curry at Indigo recommended by Duncan, hope I survive Graham's choice in the car tomorrow.
