Tourists in Sydney

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Today's weather forecast – pouring with rain first thing but once again by the time we caught the ferry it had stopped but was still overcast until lunchtime. Coffee from same vendor at ferry terminal was good. Another ferry round to Darling Harbour under the bridge then on foot into the city area to the Power House Museum. But first a slight detour to a sushi restaurant recommended to Sammy which was yummy.
Back to the museum which was as the name implies situated in an old Power House . It was quite a bizarre mixture of exhibits, from steam trains (someone was happy) to displays of contraceptives through the ages! Then a lovely walk through Darling Harbour and The Rocks area (only a few sets of steps involved) where we tried to get a drink but the pub was heaving even at 5pm. So made do with a bar at Circular Quay. Not too lumpy ferry back to Manly and as it was getting late we went straight out to dinner, steak meal at $10 each which was amazingly good and even the booze was a reasonable price. Another quick drink on the way home avoiding the Irish celebrating St. Patricks Day.
