Singapore, Singapore
Believe it or not even hotter and stickier today so decided to spend as much time as possible indoors. Headed off across town to the National Museum of Singapore but enroute detoured into the Fire Station museum as it was cool and even better free. In fact it was a very interesting Museum and even had an exhibit for Graham to get into.
Back on the streets to Fort Canning which was the original Government House built by Raffles . Very well kept area (this is Singapore) with lots of information boards around the hill fort and being on a hill meant there was some breeze, those colonials knew a thing or too.
We then spent the rest of the day in the National Musem shown round by a German tour guide who knew her history if not all the right words. Afterwards we went back around looking at some of the exhibits in more detail and now feel very knowledgable about Singaporean history. Afterwards we even tried the museum coffee despite what I said yesterday and for the first time it was very good.
Back down to Chinatown for dinner tonight as food so good plus a few beers. Quite looking forward to sitting on a plane tomorrow and not walking 10-12 kms a day in the heat but so so sad the holiday is over.
