Tobacco and caves

Pinar del Río, Pinar del Rio, Cuba
Not sure if I had a muzzy head or not this morning as the Community Valentines Disco followed by the room next door having their TV full blast until 2 am certainly didn’t help the head. Back in the bus for a drive to Vinales with a great view of the limestone hills. The day then continued to feature more rum with the coffee at the tobacco farm, in the cocktail at lunch then in the pina colada in the afternoon. Amazingly they just give you the bottle of rum to take as much as you want. Could get used to this daily round of cocktails.
The tobacco farm was very interesting but no Cuban women rolling the cigars though we did learn that Castro gave the prostitutes this job after the revolution as a change in their line of work. After lunch of pork, chicken, rice and beans (but also lovely fresh vegetables they grew at the restaurant) we visited a local cave originally found by the Indians. No hard hats or handrails here just good eye sight to walk through the cave to a boat ride on the river running through the cave. A very enjoyable day and even had prawns with the rice in the evening.
