Camaguey, Camaguey, Cuba
Slightly muzzy heads but not as bad as other Graham who was trying to keep pace with Von Ryan’s beers with rum chasers. Quite a long bus day heading east to Santa Clara, scene of the dramatic turning point in the Cuban Revolution. We visited the site of the derailed armoured train and the Monumento Ernesto Che Guevara. An interesting museum of his life and mausoleum with 7 metre monument. He is still very much revered in Cuba despite having died in 1965. Late arrival in Camaguey which seems to have an abundance of normal looking shops, the first we’ve seen so far, very bizarre.
