The sun has got his hat on

Playacar, Quintana Roo, Mexico
Good morning, no more sitting about the room today, it’s going to be a beautiful day. It was great leaving the room today and not having to think if we needed to take the brolly or not. The most difficult decisions today are going to be yes or no to mimosa at breakfast and will it be pool or beach?
Yes to mimosa and beach.
I got stuck into my book once we were settled on the sunbeds and got quite in to it - will I get it finished before I get home? I’m too nosey and like to have a look at what is going on around me. Neon pants man was parading around the beach with his neat package - I reckon he is gay, not that that is an issue but he won’t pull in this hotel as he seems to be the only gay in the village.
Manc slapper was on the prowl around the pool area again today so when we went up for a drink we just made sure there was no eye contact. I went in the sea today as it was much calmer than the other day well, that’s once you get in waist deep. Getting out was bit of a disaster, I tried to do by best Ursula Andress impression but a wave knocked me over and I looked like a crumpled up mess on the floor and to top it off I’ve damaged my finger. I thought I had broken in but I can bend it so luckily it is only bruised. We were coming up with ideas on how we could make a spilt for it and the best we came up with was cocktail stirrers and plasters I know, a bit dramatic for a bruise. We were super lazy for lunch today and just had a burger form Pepes washed down with wine spritzers. Going back to the beach we saw that they were getting ready for the pool foam party, we hung around to see what was going o and Jane was disgusted at some of the dancing by the female entertainment staff. It was of  quite  sexual nature and highly inappropriate for young children but heyho, they could always go and play with the magic mushroom in the kids pool. As a warm up to the actual foam being pumped into the pool they played a game of water polo with a giant ball and there were about 50 people on each team - it was carnage. Things went from bad to worse when the foam started pumping in, kids and adults were lost under the pile of foam until ‘David Guest’ started using the leaf blower to blow the foam about. Great fun was had by all but when they then started to have an international dirty dance off we left them to it, manc slapper was up the shaking her arse and slut dropping like a good one.
Dinner tonight was in the steakhouse and it was really quite good, we opted for the mixed grill between us and we got steak, prawns, chicken, ribs and chorizo sausage, corn on the cob, tomatoes and wedges, it was bloody lovely and all served to you which was even better.
Next stop was the silent disco and we had a great laugh, there were some crazy dance moves and lots of Mexicans singing along to the Spanish channel. One bloke had mastered the phrase ‘dance like nobody is watching’ unfortunately, everyone was watching and it was like he was having a fit, he must have been in his 50s and was going like the clappers to the rave music. I bet he pops up in TikTok!
The disco finished too early in our opinion, they could have had that going much later as it wasn’t disturbing and residents unlike some of the appalling karaoke that we have witnessed. Vodka nightcap and it’s off to bed for me - goodnight x
