Kings Canyon, Northern Territory, Australia
11/4/2015 - 12/4/2015 — 2 nights Kings Canyon Resort ($50 p/n)

Left Uluru at 9:00am arrived at around 1:00pm .

Chill out afternoon and we were very excited to see our first dingo wandering around the caravan park. He came back later that night and walked right past me while I was reading and made another appearance around 3.00am when he raided our bin.

Headed out to do the Kings Canyon Rim Walk. I'll let the photos speak for themselves... this place is spectacular.

A nice set of stairs provided a great heart rate by the time we hit the rim, from then on it was a mostly easy walk around the rim and down into the Garden of Eden. Took us about 3hrs, stopping for a billion photo opportunities.

Had the pleasure of walking with two very bored kids the last 2kms who said "up, up, down, down, super up, up and super duper down, down... Depending on the terrain. It was a long 2kms!

Met Jan and Graham, Debbie and Peter, Judy and Ian all from Lake Macquarie who are doing a similar trip us so we may bump into them again along the track.

Things we learnt...
1. Talcum powder keeps ants away.
2. Do a drive thru of park before booking on a site... could have had the best view in the park. (First world problems I know!)
3. Some people are just selfish... clean the BBQ after you use it... it's not that hard!

My twelve hour work day in scrappy Melbourne weather really isn't that bad when you have to clean the BBQ. Are you ok?

These peeps waltzed into the caravan park... unpaid, powered up their Britz rental motorhome into the camp kitchen, used the BBQ and then pissed off! Any wonder we were paying $50 a night. We just subsidised these shitheads! I'm holidays... rant over!
