It was less than an hours drive up to Coral Bay from Warroora Station and we arrived right on check-in time
.
The town of Coral Bay is less than 1km long and comprises 2 caravan parks, a Resort, a Tavern, a small IGA, Bakery and a couple of tourist booking shops… so if the sun ain't shining there is not a lot to do!
Unfortunately we only managed one good day here so we drove out to Five Fingers Reef, which is a 4km sandy 4WD track. Again no signs so it took us bloody ages to find the right track into the beach.
Really pretty spot but it was so windy you actually couldn’t lie on the beach :(
The lovely lady Michelle who had helped us out at the caravan park in Exmouth had told us that her daughter sings at the Resort so on Sunday afternoon we headed off for a few drinks and to watch Miss Max sing some tunes…
The next couple of days we had terrible weather so 12 episodes of the last season of Sons of Anarchy was how we spent them.
We had wanted to swim with the Mantra Rays whilst we were here but the weather just didn’t allow for it… That experience will remain on the Bucket List for next time.
