Warroora Station, Western Australia, Australia
17/7/2015 – 17/7/2015 1 night – Warroora Station Stay ($10 p/p p/n)

On a last minute decision we decided to head into Warroora Station . We had attempted this on the way down to Shark Bay but abandoned ship about 4kms in because of the bad corrugations.

We had spoken to a lady at Woomeral River who had said there we two roads in and to make sure you don't go into the Homestead but take the sign to the beaches.

So we took a different road to the one we had attempted earlier… Corrugations didn’t seam too bad for the first few kms. We passed the sign to the Homestead and headed to 14 Mile Beach. (I’m not sure if I have mentioned in previous posts that the signage in WA is absolutely appalling… there are either none at all or the signs are literally where you have to turn. We have never done so many bloody U-turns in our live!) Anyway had there been an estimate of kms to the beach we certainly would have turned around…

Nearly 40kms of corrugated road and 2 hours later we finally made it to 14 Mile Beach... It was beautiful but by this stage it was near on dark and we were only there overnight.

The following morning we headed off (not the way we came) only to find us on the original road we had used the week before… with only a mere 14kms of corrugations to get out.

Doh!
