Beautiful Bristol

Bristol, England, United Kingdom
After a very early morning flight (6:30 am) we arrived in Bristol, U.K.
What a beautiful city this is . Georgian townhouses surrounding manicured parks, soaring Gothic cathedrals and one of the pretties harbours we have seen. As we arrived well before our check in time, we left our bags at the hotel and spent the next several hours walking. We went around the entire harbor (about 2 hrs.) and took in ship building, a sailing school, several marinas and a plethora of gardens. We next went to explore the historic city centre, much of which is largely pedestrian only and lined with churches, shops and restaurants of all sorts.
After checking in we had a quick power nap then off to explore around our hotel. We saw Queen's Square Park and went to St. Mary's Redcliffe. This church is the final resting place of Sir William Penn, a Quaker, who died in credit to Charles II. The crown paid this dept to William's son, also named William and also a Quaker, with a large parcel of land in the new world which became the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware.
We stopped for our obligatory pint at The Hole in the Wall pub and later returned there for supper.
