Off to Plaka, Milos

Milos, Cyclades, Greece
Well as forecasted a storm blew during the night and continues! Loads of banging and heard glass breaking. Our table and chairs are all turned over on our balcony.
The sea is rough outside despite Adamas being on an inlet .

We have breakfast, Voula thrusting cheese pies and omelets and other things at us which I am unable to fight off. We have breakfast inside this morning due to the strength of the wind.

We tell Voula that we are going to Plaka this morning and she says she will take us!
I think she was going shopping for a glass door following last nights storm. She is very generous as peoples reviews say.

Voula drops us off at Plaka and we begin the climb up to the Kastro. Visability is not brilliant and of course the wind is having a howling day up here. There are great views up here but, not at their best today.

A walk down to Tripiti to a cafe with great views is aborted as it`s closed, thats a blow. So, we walk around the side of the hill and back to Plaka. We find a small cafe in the narrow lanes and have a drink and share a large cheese and ham roll . It came to just over 5 euros, very reasonable.
We decide to walk back to Adamas and pasing through another village track down a cable for my speaker. It`s a bit short in length, I will call it Jean but hopefully it will do the job, it only cost 1.5 euros.

Called in at Milors cafe again for a coffee and ice cream, guess who had two scoops?

Went back to the room and the cable works fine, so I can have a Drink in My Hand with some feeling and noise.

In the evening we walk into Adamas and go to Flisvos. They all have their wind shutters down. Jean has balls with meat and a tomato sauce. I have pork off the spit, both are fine.

Back to our room have a glass of wine and an early night, hoping it`s not as noisy, although the wind is still blowing hard.
