Hike to Pollonia

Milos, Cyclades, Greece
Go down for breakfast and sit inside again due to the wind although not quite as bad as yesterday. Usual game of getting sufficient and Voula trying to give you more.

Jean decides we are going to Filakopi not far from Pollonia as there is a nice beach there . I assume as you would that it would follow a similar pattern of the other day in that, we would get a taxi and the bus back. Oh no, that is not the plan as Jean intends that we walk there, you cannot be serious woman? My feelings and lack of doctors authority are all waived aside and off we go. This is going to about 5 miles. My calfs` remind me of how they felt last week following our expedition on Sifnos. We see the cove but, move on. Adjacent to the cove is an ancient settlement, which we visit and then decide to go the whole hog and do the further 1 1/2 miles to Pollonia. The trip has taken altogether about 2 1/2 hours. We have a nice cool drink at one of the cafes at the sea side and then settle on the beach, where Iron Lady has a swim. You can tell Jean is on her jollies as otherwise she would be the ironing lady!

We catch the bus back to Adamas and at 1.60 euros is very cheap. Stop off at Milors gain for ice cream.

Jean wants to get back to the room so Eric can get her in the mood for the night by, putting a drink in her hand! Have you all played this yet, get it on You Tube! Whilst playing this she enhances the pleasure by packing on of the suitcases . This does slightly give the wrong impression as, we havn`t actually unpacked everything yet! Jean tends to grab things from the bottom of the suitcase and creases all my nicely folded Ben Shermans!

We go off to Yanko`s which is part of the Portiano Hotel. We have bruchetta pomodoro generously topped with tomato and feta and a considerable amount of garlic mushrooms. For mains I have the penne funghi dish and Jean pork fillet slices in a lemon coating with capers. We are a both stuffed but manage to polish off a lovely freebie of a desert of custard slice, whice was very nicely presented.
This was another very nice meal.

Manage to get round to Milors for a drink. Windfinder still has the wind dropping overnight and one ticket agency says Super Jet will run.
