We had been thinking of going to Delos, I know we should but Jean is feeling a little stiff after her fall yesterday and it is a bit choppy so we pass on Delos. I have a pre brekkie walk down to Ornos and back.
Have a lovely breakfast again and we decide to go down to Ornos and slum it on the beach for a while
. Pleasant enough and get my ankles massaged by the lapping of the water and am able to keep my trunks dry quite easily.
Stay on Ornos until about 10-30 and have a butty from the bakers Jeans butty comes in the form of a cheese pie.
We sit by the pool at Vana`s and the parasol which the father had put up came crashing down in the breeze. Luckily it missed both of us.
Jean spends time on TA and picks out a taverna called Eva`s Garden and we decide on there for the evening. We eventually find it and go in. This isn`t going to be as cheap as last night. The waiter gives us some patter and we decide upon garlic mushrooms which J had read about on TA along with a tuna salad. For mains J had pork fillet in a mustard, honey and black beer sauce along with mash. I chose chicken in a cream and mushroom sauce with roast potatoes and ratatolle. Had a litre of plonk and a small bottle of Mythos. Dont know why they serve these small offerings really. The bill comes in at 74e! Never spent anything like this on a meal in Greece before but, it was superb and the place is very nice with very good service.
We have a stroll around and realise we are going to have to get the last bus, so will be knackered tomorrow as we wont get to our room before 10! We live it up in a small bar at 3e for a glass of plonk. Got off the bus and fortunately the bakers were still open and managed to get this super loaf which we had along with my 2e bottle of wine on our balcony.
