Tinos, Cyclades, Greece
Well, we are off to TInos today. We have not been there previously and are looking forward to visiting this religious island. As Jean`s main Christmas present I bought her some knee pads to so she doesn`t hurt her knees on going to the church. They have proven to be a sound investment in view of her tumble on Mykonos.

Jean packs before breakfast, loving every minute of it and down we go for another great brekkie . There is still only us two staying here.

To work off brekkie we have a walk across to the other side of the bay where despite being about 150 yards away my phone picks up Vana`s wifi!

It`s time to go and we say goodbye to the girls and Lila and we are taken down to the port. We have tickets for the Theologos P owned by Fast Ferries. She docked here overnight so we are able to embark. The ship is quiet and a nice short trip over to Tinos.

We are to stay at Ken Dodd`s place on Tinos at Didimes Studios. It means twins as the owner has twin girls. Ken aka Antonis meets us and seems a happy fellow and transfers us over to Kioni where his rooms are. We are given a warm welcome from his family and are treated to some homemade biscuits and jam which Jean as usual lets me share by looking at them. They did look nice and tasty which Jean confirms.

We are the only grokels here . We have a large room with a good size balcony. We have a stroll and sit on the beach and then Jean the mad fool has a swim. It is still far to cold for me to chance my arm or, any other piece of my desirable body and remain on the beach.

We change and are given a lift into Tinos town by Antonis which is only about 5 minutes.

Have a walk around and find a taverna which still has the sun. Had a Greek salad and a mousaka.

Strolling around, the main street is full of shops selling church souvenirs seems rather tacky to me. We have a drink and grab a taxi back and at 4 euros good value. Jean admires the stars and it`s off to bed
