Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India
This morning we made it to the National Park and it was a great day.
Park entry is restricted and Ashraf had organised permits . There were hardly any people there at all.
They have a breeding program for leopards and black bears so we could see them in their enclosures.
We went for a longish walk after wards and ended up by a river where Carolyn, Miranda and Barbara had a dip in the icy cold water.
There is also a big trout farm, where Ashraf tried to buy some trout, but they were not for sale today. On the way to the trout hatchery we saw a number of Himalayan grey lingers (monkeys) having a feast in a couple of mulberry trees.
It was cool, shady and a lovely peaceful place to be,
On to lunch at a restaurant and then back to the houseboats.
Time to start thinking about packing. I've bought so much stuff that I don't know how I'm going to get it all to Delhi. Once there it'll be O.K. as we. Are allowed 40kg on Singapore Airlines.
