Tokyo - Day 1

Tokyo, Kanto, Japan
There are so many things to see and do in Tokyo it is difficult to decide what to pick for our two days here.

We started off by attending one act of a Kabuki performance . A full Kabuki drama lasts 4 - 5 hours, but if you line up on the day it is possible to get a ticket for just one act. By the time we got to the ticket counter there were only standing room tickets.
Luckily they had hand held devices which displayed the dialogue in English. A bit like subtitles on a movie, but a personal one.
Despite standing for 90 minutes, we thoroughly enjoyed the performance.

The theatre was in the Ginza area with many luxury and department stores. It being a Sunday there were lots of people shopping so it was interesting.

Next after lunch we just had to check out Shibuya crossing with its throngs of people. Possibly not as busy as on a weekday or Saturday night, but there were still loads of young people having a great time.
