My flight with New Zealand airlines went very smoothly. I got very good vegetarian meals, snacks and drinks. I arrived at LAX airport early and I tried to ring my hotel Custom hotel for the free shuttle but my phone would not work.

I was surprised as I had taken an extra bundle with "EE" my phone network and informed them about my trip, but then I used the call box . I was taken to Custom hotel by the shuttle which was only ten mins away.

Check in was quick and the staff at the reception were very helpful.

My room was very nice and cosy with views of the airport. I dropped my suitcase at the reception to be stored for 3 days as I was going for small tour to San Francisco, Salvang and Yosemite Park.
Because I had v little time to prepare for the California Trip, I had to take the tour otherwise it is better to plan early for a tailor made holiday. 

I also booked the 5 am free shuttle to Lax airport at the hotel reception.
